Motivation & Challenge of the Week

“Men are not prisoners of fate, but only prisoners of their own minds.”—Franklin D. Roosevelt

Action Point:   Go onto the facebook page and get yourself started on the No Bread Challenge
Remember, your goal this week is NOT to be perfect for the rest of your life or to lose 50 pounds , it’s simply to get through the week avoiding the foods on the “breads” list and substitute them with the foods on the “good carbs” list. Success breeds success

Thanks to all of your shares, we have literally tripled our readership in the past week since I posted this  Monday Challenge. Because of an onslaught of emails from Facebook fans, blog readers and newsletter subscribers, I've decided to have a redo of it with a little twist to help with the motivation.

All you have to do is check in at the end of each day on  the facebook page to have your day counted. There is a gift to the winner valued at several hundred dollars !

Challenge Monday

Challenge of the Week:    NO BREAD!

For each "bread" you would normally eat, swap it out for something off of  THIS LIST   and see how AMAZING you  will feel when you cut out BREAD & Pastas from your diet! C'mon, you can do it.. it's only for a week.

Anyone who knows me knows that I am in no way jumping on the gluten free band wagon although many people have some level of intolerance to gluten (the protein that is found in bread, pasta, etc.)  Even if you don't show any symptoms, at a cellular level, it causes INFLAMMATION in many people without our knowledge.

Something You Should Know
Since wheat grows free and open in the field as a plant, it has a natural protective mechanism build in called LECTINS.  Lectins are the plants natural protection against insects and other pests in order to not get eaten by them. When we eat bread, we are ingesting these lectins, and they can cause crazy amounts of inflammation in our bodies. In addition, lectins can cause  something called "leaky Gut" which let the "bad" things in through the intestinal wall and not allow your body to absorb the "good" things like nutrients, vitamins, and minerals.

Bread includes: Bread, Pastas, Cookies, Cakes, Bagels, Muffins, Cereals except oatmeal!

You will not only feel AMAZING come Sunday, but you might have even notices that you dropped a couple of pounds so come on over to our Facebook Community and join the fun and accountability.

ps. don't forget to invite any of your friends who might want to lose some bloat and fat, increase their energy this week :)

pps. Think you can't have the body you want because you are over 40?   Here is a picture from a few years ago .. I was 43 :)  I work full time, run my NPO, manage a fiesty Pit Bull Puppy and have a life. If I can do it, you can too. It just starts with one single step.

In Health, Dianne
