Fit Tip Tuesday: Get Your Best Summer Body Ever Tip #6

Find Your WHY 

People often laugh at me when I talk about this one but, in my opinion, finding your "why" and keeping it strongly planted in your head is the difference between long term success and another "failed diet" attempt. It's that "why" that keeps me out training in the heat and the cold and when I just plain don't feel like it.

It's that "why" that keeps me going when it's not fun and when it would be easier to quit. 

It's that "why" that got me across 80 finish lines carrying 20 plus pounds of gear over 5 seasons.

Your "why" is the thing that will keep you going when things get tough, when you have some set backs, when it's not fun  and when life starts getting in the way and when it is just easier not to. 

Anyone who knows me knows that I am a HUGE believer in having clear, concise  goals. There are plenty of studies which show that clear, written down goals and having a clear vision is one of the singular causes of "success". Being a fitness blog, I won't bore you with them but, I promise you it's true.

If  you take a few minutes to complete the following exercise, I guarantee you success! 
 Find Your "Why" ... take a moment and visualize -  

 Take a moment and visualize the slimmer, firmer, healthy more energetic person that you want to be this summer –

Focus on the clothes that you want to wear and the places where you would like to be more comfortable.

Remember the reason why you started your fitness/ nutrition program in the first place!!  

Create a clear mental picture or keep a picture of your goal handy  and use it next time you feel like you are losing site of your fitness goal.
