What's Cookin Wednesday & A Little Research

If you need an appetizer to bring to a party or get together, try these amazing Teriyaki turkey meat balls. This Italian girl was very pleasantly surprised at the taste and, of coures, the non cooking gal in me was quite happy with the ease of preparation.

I've also substituted the turkey for a very lean ground beef. This will of course, change the nutrition numbers but, remember.. there are no bad foods, only inappropriate amounts!!

Research Wednesday



 As most of you know, I think that the whole BMI thing is a bunch of crap for anyone other than the extrememly over weight - Since BMI doesn't take into account lean muscle, a perfectly fit person can come out as "overweight" based on this fabulous formula - URG!!!! In any case, I am quite  happy that "they" are starting to rethink the method .


When it comes to predicting heart attacks, new research suggests the best test for obesity isn't BMI (body mass index).   MORE
